Questions and answers

Do you take insurance?

Yes. I accept Anthem, Blue Cross, Blue Shield, BlueCross and BlueShield, Capital Blue Cross, Carelon Behavioral Health, Highmark, Horizon Blue Cross and Blue Shield, Magellan, Medicaid (Idaho and Montana), and Tricare. I also see clients out of network.

What do sessions cost?

The first session is $275, and each session after that is $250. You can pay by American Express, Health Savings Account, Mastercard, PayPal, Venmo, or Visa.

Do you prescribe or manage medication?

No. I only do talk therapy. I don't evaluate, prescribe, or refill ADHD medication or any other prescription, but I'm happy to work with your prescriber to coordinate your care.

Where can you see clients?

I hold sessions online for clients located in Florida, Pennsylvania, New York, Iowa, Idaho, Montana, and Washington.

Are sessions by video, or can we just talk?

Whichever suits you. I work by video, by telephone, and by secure messaging, with or without camera. Unless you have a specific preference, let's decide together which will work best.

How soon could I be seen?

There's no waiting list. Reach out by phone or through the contact form, and I'll get back to you within 24 hours to schedule your first appointment. Evening and weekend appointments are available.

What kind of therapy do you do?

Talk therapy. I draw on evidence-based approaches: cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), psychodynamic psychotherapy, strength-based work, mindfulness, and trauma-informed care. But beyond techniques and frameworks, the most important therapeutic tool is the relationship we build together.

How long have you been practising?

I've been a nurse for forty-seven years, more than forty of them in mental health, and in private practice since 1997.

Who do you usually work with?

Children from age 5, tweens, teens, college students, emerging adults, adults, and elders. The areas I focus on are women's mental health, perinatal support, neurodivergent people (including autism, ADHD, highly sensitive people, and empaths), disordered eating, digital nomads and expats, nurses and nursing students, and anxiety and depression.

Do you offer evening and weekend appointments?

Yes. I offer evening and weekend appointments to accommodate your schedule. Your healing shouldn't have to wait for a convenient time.
